Formerly a Certified EcoBroker® and REALTOR®, I now work out of my home as Team Assistant for the NRVLiving Real Estate Team while caring for my growing and active daughter. With real estate as my livelihood and green as my passion, I continue to enjoy blogging when time permits (which, admittedly, is rare).
Here's more about me:
Growing up at my family’s year-round resort in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, I developed a love for camping, personal physical fitness, and the outdoors. Having served as the Campground Manager of Shenandoah Acres Resort in Stuarts Draft, I recognize the importance of friendly and personalized customer service as well as integrity and professionalism in business dealings. As Chairman of the board and Vice President, I oversaw the sale of my family’s 70-year-old business and 300+ acres of property in 2004-05.
I hold a B.S. in Forestry & Wildlife Resources and an M.S. in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Virginia Tech. In combination, these degrees have given me an appreciation for land and natural resources and a solid grasp of business principles. With my previous experience as an EcoBroker®, I help our team's real estate clients understand how energy, environmental, and health issues impact their real estate decisions.
I live in the beautiful Spruce Run area of Newport in Giles County, just west of Blacksburg, with my husband, Brian, our daughter, Hadleigh, and our very large boxer dog, Cassius. When Brian is not working at his job as Lawn Maintenance manager for Valley Landscaping or bow hunting for deer at his family's farm in West Virginia, we enjoy watching movies together, playing with Hadleigh, and visiting family.
